TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE
Goods will remain the property of Mackinnon and Bailey until paid.
Prices:
Goods are invoiced at prices ruling on date of order. Prices given are net. Prices are regularly amended;
check your price list is the correct issue number before placing an order. All prices are ex-works.
Value added Tax:
Prices given do not include VAT.
Carriage:
All delivery dates are anticipated. Mackinnon & Bailey will not be held responsible for alleged late delivery
charges.
Orders of £200 or more will be free of carriage charge. Orders of below £200 will have a flat rate
carriage charge of £15.00. Special delivery by passenger train etc. made at the request of the customer
will be charged at the appropriate rate. All parcels should be refused if damaged and reported within 24hours.
Carriage to Scotland £15.00
Liability for Defective Goods:
The company undertakes to replace or repair any article supplied proving defective in material workmanship
within a reasonable period. The company will not accept liability for any other cost, direct or indirect from
such or defective goods.
Title of Goods:
Ownership of goods shall remain with the company until payment for goods has been received in full. If
any goods are resold before payment is made, the company’s right of ownership shall be transferred to
the proceeds of sale or to the claim for proceeds.
Mackinnon and Bailey are registered in the name of E Mackinnon and Co Ltd, Incorporated in
England No. 298001.
Cancellations and Amendments:
Cancellations and amendments of order are accepted only at the discretion of the company. The company
reserves the right to refuse cancellation of an order if it has been partly or wholly made, or claim from the
buyer the cost of the work already completed. In the case of ‘special’ goods, an official order, once accepted,
CANNOT be returned.
Settlement Terms:
Invoices are due payable 30 days following the date of the invoice. We reserve the right to charge interest
at 2% per month.
Returned Goods:
Returns will only be accepted and credited with the following conditions;
* Goods are not returned without prior agreement.
* Goods returned after 3 months will be credited at our discretion.
* All goods must be returned in their original packaging and in re-saleable condition.
* Goods can be collected from the account holders address, collections from site will have to be
arranged by the customer.
The risk in goods shall pass to the buyer when delivery is made to the buyer’s premises or destination
specified by the buyer. Shortages and damages must be advised within 3 working days of receipt of goods.
